Full name: AMI 2017 educational and digital transformation
Short name: Check U
Start date: January 2021
Description
The profound renovations of education, pushed by the various reforms concerning the lycée, the tools accompanying high school students in their various post-bac projects as well as the law for the freedom to choose one's professional future, have been articulated around one key word: skills.
The team behind Check U got together to design a game that encourages high school students to question their skills.
In the same way as any other skill, those used to orient oneself should be structured:
- In action verbs
- In essential components
- On a development trajectory
- In so-called authentic situations within which orienting competence would be visible .
Based on various directories (RNCP, ROME, RECTEC), the Check U card game is a tool providing original and complementary access to the skills highlighted by the AVENIRS referential categories:
- Informing and finding one's way in the information society
- Discovering yourself and cultivating your ambitions
- Build and project yourself in an uncertain world.
With its 3 game modes, Check U will then give players the opportunity to switch from a business approach to a skills approach.
In this way, they will orally confront professional vocabulary, play with representations of business sectors and be able to develop a sense of competence favoring self-confidence and self-esteem.
Check U can be played in the classroom and with the family, thus associating, through the evolution of the games and the happy finds, the whole of the high school student's entourage with their success in finding their bearings.
