SAMI

Educational innovation
Digital use

Description

The health situation has placed universities in unprecedented contexts of acceleration, exposing the process of hybridization of teaching as an appropriate response to the many challenges of pedagogical continuity for students in the undergraduate cycle with particular attention to those in their first year.

The SAMI (Système d'Activités Médiatisées et Immersives) project proposes a response that is both contributory to national initiatives and innovative on the creation of immersive and virtual content based on a novel OMO (Online Merge Offline) articulation for teaching. The latter will reinforce the "face-to-face-distance" articulation by placing learning in the same educational context, a lever for fostering teacher-student links and student success in a context of training hybridization.

In response, the SAMI project proposes a 3-dimensional model:

  • The provision and creation of content (digital resources, Mooc), while ensuring their digital accessibility (informational dimension);
  • the creation of a system of spheres of interactivity enabling the creation and support of hybrid teaching and learning activities: teacher-teacher, teacher-student, student-student sphere(interactive dimension);
  • the creation of a collaborative environment for editing virtual and immersive content that can feed into national programs in the form of TD and TP (immersive dimension).

The role of digital technology

Immersive teaching resources

The DNum was involved in the production (scripting, mediatization...) of two resources:

  • A mechanics TP including industrial assembly and sharing of the resulting realization
  • An immersive TP offered within the fully scanned Fourmies ecomuseum.

A white paper

Through these experiences, the teams decided to draw up a white paper to record the various moments involved in producing immersive teaching resources and setting up Immersive Lab.
This white paper was offered to the entire university community at the Hybridization Days on January 18 and 19, 2023, during which the H2ES IUD (Diplôme Inter-Universitaire Hybrider ses Enseignements dans l'Enseignement Supérieur) was presented.

The H2ES IUD

The H2ES IUD offers:

  • Design a hybrid pedagogical device
  • Animate a community of learners within this device
  • Evaluating learning in a hybrid teaching context
  • Measure the effectiveness of your device

This diploma is run jointly by the UPHF and the ICL : the entire program, speakers... are identical. Registrations can be made independently at either the UPHF or the ICL; the training will be identical.
To register, however, internal students from these two establishments will be directed to their home establishment.
