Exchanging teaching practices - Using a forum in class

The ICTE unit (DNum) and PERSAE'Val invite you to a meeting!

The forum (particularly the one available on Moodle) enables asynchronous discussions between students, or between students and teachers. While they can be used in a top-down fashion (to communicate information from the teacher to the students), they can also be used to set up a more transversal discussion, to answer questions, exchange ideas...

These forums have a definite organizational and pedagogical interest, but their implementation and success are not always self-evident:

• Why aren't my students participating?
• And so how can we encourage their involvement in forums?
• What can a forum be used for?
• Will a forum be able to stand on its own or will it take me time to moderate it?
• ...

We invite you to come and share your experience, express your questions, give your ideas, explain your needs, expectations or simply discover the field, over a coffee for a convivial moment during an exchange of experience.
